Cogeneration
Cogeneration,
energy's added value
Cogeneration represents one of the best solutions to increase the energy efficiency of a company by about 20-30% thanks to the combined production of electricity and heat, to which cold is added in the case of trigeneration, ensuring a great cost saving, less dispersion of pollutants into the atmosphere and reduction of carbon dioxide emissions.

WHY CHOOSE
INNOVATEC SYSTEMS?
We accompany our customers with a turnkey service in the design, supply, implementation and subsequent maintenance of co/trigeneration plants, proposing a multi-brand offer. Our plants allow to access the CAR qualification (High Efficiency Cogeneration) thanks to the thermal recovery of the energy dispersed by the engine that can also produce hot water. We work with all the main manufacturers of endothermic engines and, depending on the customer’s specific energy needs, we identify the most efficient solution.
The plants are built by offering three financing options including direct purchase, lease payment or ESCo mode, where Innovatec Power goes ahead with the investment for the customer and sells the energy at a lower than market price.
AREAS OF INTERVENTION
Food industry • Textile and leather industry • Paper and printing industry • Chemical and petrochemical industry • Pharmaceutical industry • Plastics industry • Ceramics and glass industry • Metal and steel industry

COGENERATION
“Cogeneration” or CHP (Combined Heating and Power) refers to the combined production of electrical and thermal energy using a single input energy carrier (natural gas). The added value lies in the possibility of recovering the heat that is usually dispersed into the atmosphere (almost 2/3 of the incoming natural gas), with an increase in energy efficiency estimated at between 30 and 40% and a substantial reduction in CO2 emissions into the atmosphere.
TRIGENERATION
Trigeneration, thanks to the integration in the cogeneration plant of an absorber, equipment belonging to the heat pump family, allows the combined production of electrical, thermal and cooling energy that can be used for industrial production processes or for heating and air conditioning of buildings.

ADVANTAGES
Cogeneration is a proven technology that can make an important contribution in terms of environmental benefits and energy savings, also in view of the 2020 European objectives.
- Lower withdrawal of electricity from the grid
- Reduction of primary energy consumption.
- Less use of fossil fuels
- Reduction of pollutant and greenhouse gas emissions
- Reduction of CO2 emissions.
- Reduction in the cost of energy carrier procurement
- Achievement of TEE (Energy Efficiency Certificates) based on TEP (tonnes of oil equivalent saved).
